My interest in printmaking began at UC Berkeley while researching the history of book illustration. This led to study and employment in pre-digital commercial printing techniques.
For a time in the early 1990s, I worked on fine letterpress printing projects with handset type and my wood engravings. As a member of Wood Engravers Network, I continue in this medium because of its challenge and pleasure.
This world needs humor and truth. I want to continually offer both and to improve my skills in other illustration media. I welcome the opportunity to consider many kinds of projects including children's book and magazine illustration, book design and production, graphics, letterpress printing, workshops, and space decor.
